“Bollywood<\/a>” movies are being welcomed in the US, and among the most popular has been\u00a0Slumdog.\u00a0<\/em>It opened my eyes to both the mystery, the promise\u00a0and enigma that is India.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The movie also took an unusual approach in casting. There were 3 main characters with each one played by 3 different actors representing the individual as a child, a teenager, and an adult.<\/p>\n

The video\u00a0Jai Ho\u00a0<\/em>(which roughly translates as “Victory to thee<\/em>“) from the 2009 movie includes amazing choreography on a railway platform. Jai Ho<\/em>\u00a0also won an Academy Award for Best\u00a0Original Song.<\/p>\n
